Religious era
The story of Adam and Eve is related to this story in many ways. The snake represents the uncle who introduces the knowledge to Eve. The apple represents knowledge and books which is 'forbidden'. Adam is like Montag, always listening to the Man and eventually gets curious. Eve is Clarisse who introduces Montag into knowledge tells him how good it is for him and how much he needs it.
Towards the end of the book Montag flees town. He meets up with some hobos, who are actually college professors thrown out by society. These people have memorized books before they got burned. Montag was able to memorize half of the Ecclesiastes. There was a man in the group who helped him try to memorize the rest of the book.

Earlier in the book in The Sieve in the Sand section Montag had asked a man named Faber how many copies of the Bible were there left. He went to Faber about books because he wanted to understand books and their meaning. Faber freaked when he asked about the Bible he kept asking about other books. Faber hung up. I do not think that there are any copies of the bible out unless some one is hiding them. This picture reminds me of this book because some people would die with their Bibles or books then live with out them. When people die with their religion it shows how much they care about it.

In the Bible story Noah's Ark i think represents the story well. i think Noah represents Clarisse and Faber because they are the knowledge they know what would happen without the knowledge. The Ark represents knowledge. All the animals that are on the Ark represent the people who have books and hide them. The rain represent society because no matter how much comes down knowledge will still float on top just like the Ark. Also the People who get on once the rain actually comes and it starts to flood, represent the people that will come to knowledge once they realize that they need it and the Government was wrong. In this Bible story God tells Noah that a flood is coming and to build an ark to over come it and to gather the animals (two of each)
